The R&D Design Center is responsible for leading industrial product design for the complete Össur prosthetic portfolio, ensuring holistic and user centric design. We work cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, medical, project management and external industrial design agencies bringing a product through the process of conceptual design, from initial idea to commercial launch in global markets. The industrial designers are responsible for visual creation in 2D sketching, 3D CAD renderings and physical 3D model building. We are passionate about user centric design and work with user experience research to gather insight used in product design and development.

Senior Industrial Product Designer

QUALIFICATIONS
• Long term (10 year) experience in industrial product design and development
• Proven track record in project completion and cross functional collaboration
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Advanced visual skills, sketching, 3D rendering and 3D modeling
• Experience and passion for work with user centric design
• University degree in industrial product design or relevant field
• Good technical understanding and market knowledge
• Good language skills – English, in verbal and written form
• Leadership and management skills

Industrial Product Designer

QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree in industrial product design or relevant field
• Strong visual skills, sketching, concept development and physical 3D model building
• Experience and knowledge in 3D modeling applications such as SolidWorks or Rhino, CAD surfacing knowledge is required
• Design approach inspired by the user, and capabilities to work closely with research to inform and validate design work
• Good language skills – English, in verbal and written form
• Strong communication skills: verbal and written
• Self driven but able to collaborate well
